Sterile Mate Secondary Source Rebate Program
Consolidate the product lines you already buy every week — and the items nobody else can fill — with a single secondary source. Your combined quarterly spend sets the tier, and the tier pays retroactively on the first dollar of the quarter.

How this compares
Group purchasing administrative fees are capped at 3% of the purchase price under the GPO safe harbor at 42 C.F.R. § 1001.952(j), are commonly quoted in the 1–3% range, and only a share of that reaches the member. Published supplier volume rebates sit at roughly 2% of net purchases, settled annually and applied to the marginal spend. That is the benchmark this program is built against — not a competing claim, just arithmetic.

Sterile Mate, top tier
2.0%
on contracted lines from $100,000 of combined quarterly spend, plus 2.0% on sourced backorders — paid quarterly, and retroactive to the first dollar rather than only on the spend above the threshold.
Two tracks, one ladder
On the lines we distribute under agreed contract pricing, the rebate rate is published firm and your team can model it before the order is placed. A backorder is sourced against allocation anywhere in North America, where neither availability nor price can be promised in advance — so that track carries its own, separately published rate.
Both count toward the same tier. Your combined quarterly spend decides which tier you are in, and each track then pays at its own rate — so the routine volume you consolidate with us lifts what your hardest backorders earn. The contracted-line rebate opens at $100,000 of combined quarterly spend.

The tier table
Most volume programs pay only on the dollars above a threshold, and settle once a year. Ours pays the rate you reach on the entire quarter. The contracted-line rebate begins at $100,000 of combined quarterly spend — below that, your backorder volume still earns the Tier 1 backorder rate and still counts toward reaching the threshold.
| Tier | Combined quarterly spend | Annual run rate | Contracted lines | Sourced backorders |

Retroactive to dollar one. The tier you reach applies to the first dollar of the quarter, not just the dollars above the threshold. A hospital that lands at $175,000 earns the Tier 3 rates on all of it — not just on the dollars past the line.
+0.5% growth
Earned on the whole quarter when your combined qualified spend is at least 15% above the same quarter last year.
+0.5% commitment
Earned when at least 80% of your contracted-line and backorder volume is routed to Sterile Mate first.
+0.5% annual bonus
Added on the full year once annual qualified spend crosses $1,000,000, on top of every quarterly tier already earned.
Stacked at the top tier with growth, commitment and the annual bonus, the blended rate reaches 3.5% of qualified spend. Rebates are paid within 45 days of quarter close as a credit against future orders or by ACH — your choice at enrollment.
Contract pricing
Pricing on the contracted lines is agreed with your system and loaded against your account once the agreement is signed, so your team sees your own pricing at the point of order.
A volume commitment earns deeper contract pricing on those lines — the rebate is paid on top of that price, not instead of it.
Nothing is retroactively repriced. The rate schedule above is fixed in writing for the quarter before you place a single order.
Contracted lines
Everything below earns the published contracted rate for your tier. These are the predetermined lines you use every day — which is exactly why we can quote the rebate before you place the order.
