Medline NON21459 – PAD, ABDOMINAL, 10″X30″, MULTI-TRAUMA, STRL, 50 EA/CS, 50 PK/CS
Sterile Multi-Trauma Abdominal Pads
Features extra absorbency and wicking!
Medlines super absorbent abdominal pads feature a soft nonwoven outer layer that quickly wicks fluid to a cellulose center. This thick layer of cellulose quickly absorbs and disperses fluids laterally to prevent pooling. Hydrophobic back impedes strike-through and all edges are sealed to prevent linting. Latex-Free.

How Abdominal Pads Works?
Normally abdominal pads are super absorbent pads which feature a soft non-woven exterior layer that speedily draws off fluid to a cellulose center. This middle thick layer of cellulose rapidly soaks up and spreads over fluids side by side to avoid pooling. Hydrophobic back resists strike through and all peripheries are sealed to avoid linting. It should be sterilized to avoid any contamination during surgical procedures.
Abdominal pads comprises of three different layers:
- Soft exterior non-woven layer
- Soft fibers filler for soaking up
- A wet resistance to avoid fluid strike-through.
All four different peripheries of these pads are sealed to avoid lint residue and seepage. Three layer design with a fluffy exterior layer draws off fluid away from the wound; soft fiber filler soaks up and distributes fluid all through the entire pad.
These pads act as Infection protection and behaves as a reservoir to soaks exudates, assisting to avoid the growth of moist routes that can result in contamination. These pads soaks up double fluid instead of strike-through. Moisture resistant backing guards both the patient and healthcare operative from fluid strike-through.
